# Coming from emulate

> Every name that changed when emulate became Baseline, in one place.

Baseline is the continuation of the `emulate` project, renamed and moved to [deploybaseline/cli](https://github.com/deploybaseline/cli). The rename is a hard cut: there is no compatibility layer, no fallback for old names, and no deprecation window. The old `emulate` and `@emulators/*` packages stay on npm unchanged, so nothing breaks until you switch.

To switch, apply every row below that applies to your project. Searching your repository for `emulate`, `@emulators/`, `EMULATE_`, and `_emulate` finds almost everything.

`createEmulator`, `defineEmulator`, `defineConfig`, the word "emulator" in other APIs, and the `<SERVICE>_EMULATOR_URL` environment variables are unchanged.

## Default ports

`mongoatlas` is gone, so the services after it moved down by one. Every other default port is unchanged.

Pin ports in your config (`services.<name>.port`) if you need the old values.

## Default fixtures

These defaults apply when your seed config does not set the value.

If your tests assert on any of these values, update the assertions or set the old value in your seed config.

## Removed
